Reasons to be happy...

Did you know Friday the 13th is actually a safer day to drive or wander about? A Dutch study tackled the topic and proved it true. And remember, to pet any black cats you might see, too!

I've always had nice friday the 13ths.

And my black cat is always getting pets.

Oh my god, does this mean I may be a warlock?

Nah, it means you're counterintuitive and kind to animals. Both good traits!

He (or she) is a gorgeous kitty! I've always owned a black cat for two reasons: 1)I like to be different, so since everyone says they're bad luck, I want one. And 2) If so many people don't want them, then they need someone who'll scoop them up and save them. :-)

Actually, the superstition that they are bad luck is a recent thing, historically speaking. In Vietnam, black cats are believed to keep Death away, and in Europe they were considered lucky (possibly because their dark fur gave them an advantage over the rats who carried the plague-bearing fleas). Black cats as bad luck has come out of the whole Witch Trials thing.
